We would be delighted to welcome you in our stand at Salon Art Paris Art Fair, which will take place at the Grand Palais in Paris from Wednesday, March 29 until Sunday, April 2 2017. We will present a solo exhibit of Max B., a highly prolific and very secretive painter who has lived over the past four decades isolated from the world in his XVIIth cc. atelier-home, located in the South of France.

A stranger to the public at large, Max B.’s work is very highly praised by collectors. He is an artist who defies classification: he himself does not claim ties with any particular movement. Born in Marseille, he began to paint his first canvases on bed sheets at age ten. At barely 14, he entered the Ecole des Beaux Arts de Marseille. His painting, filled with obsessive doodles, elusive symbols, faces and geometric shapes, is considered to be in line within the Neo Expresionist movement and with the work of subsequent generations of painters like Jean-Michel Basquiat.

The work of Max B. is present in numerous private collections in New York, Miami, Puerto Rico, London, Japan, Russia, Australia, Mexico and France.
