Clement Rosenthal was born in 1956 in Paris, in a family of artists.
His father, Manuel Rosenthal, was the well-known conductor who directed many orchestras in Europe in USA, his mother was a lyrical singer. His grandfather, Maurice Pillard Verneuil, was an important artist of  Art Nouveau , his grandmother had a great talent for drawing and painting and her influence has been a deciding factor on him.

At his early age, he accompanies his parents in many cities of Europe and USA, visites museums, imbibe himself of the painting of the great masters.
At sixteen, he drops out the school to devote himself to learn painting. A friend and experimented painter offers to teach him the fundamentals and he learn with him the different pictorial techniques.

In 1979, determined to conciliate abstract and classical paintings, he begins really his personal pictorial adventure.
In 80th he goes frequently in New York where he meets some major personalities of the art scene.

He collaborates with various galleries and artistic professionals.
Some of his paintings are purchased by the Musée National d’Art Moderne (Centre Pompidou), the Fonds Régional d’Art Contemporain Ile de France, the Fonds Régional d’Art Contemporain Rhône-Alpes. In the year 2000, he meets the great art dealer Jacques Melki.

Clément Rosenthal resides now near Paris in the domain where Louise de Vilmorin and André Malraux lived together and animated the last intellectual  salon , receiving many personalities of the art world, Orson Welles, Cecil Beaton, Charlie Chaplin, Jean Cocteau.
